Job Description:

Job Summary
This position builds dynamic simulation models and develops and tests solution approaches to complex, inter-connected business problems. He/She applies machine learning and other data analysis techniques to solve large-scale logistics problems. This position works with a team to transform data analytics requirements into predictive and prescriptive solutions and innovative data visualizations to illustrate trade-offs and insights. He/She performs project work matched to skillsets, strengths, and interests.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops analytical models and data visualizations to drive analytic insights.
  • Interacts with cross-functional teams to model current operations processes and evaluate potential solutions.
  • Presents data insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams to model operations processes.
  • Engages with external collaborators to incorporate findings into UPS projects.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent
  • Must be a student currently enrolled in a degreed college/university program, or graduated from a degreed college/university program within the last 24 months
  • Master's Degree or PhD in Engineering, Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
  • 1-3 years work experience or equivalent research assistantship - Preferred
