JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Program Manager 1 of Cardiovascular Disease handles the day-to-day management of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) residency program and fellowship program. This position ensures compliance with non-clinical ACGME accreditation requirements, institutional requirements, American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) requirements, and state and federal regulations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare/Administration or a related field. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience in administration or customer service; OR a combination of education and experience to equal (6) years.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to work with physicians and staff.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines and ability to take the initiative to manage multiple small training program issues with immediate direction.
- Ability to work as an integral member of the residency management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and management skills.
WORK SCHEDULE: This position may occasionally be required to work weekends and evenings. May require overnight travel.
- Provides program leadership to the training program in the absence of the program director.
- Manages and distributes the resident call schedule to ensure all faculty and hospitals are aware of which resident is on call at all times.
- Manages information about the program, residents, faculty, and staff within the web-based New Innovations residency management system.
- Plans and coordinates annual program orientation for new residents.
- Manage the accreditation process for the training programs.
- Commits to memory the ACGME common program and specialty-specific accreditation requirements.
- Applies state/federal regulations and provides documentation to support when audited.
- Annually set up the program in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP)/(ERAS) Enhanced Recovery After Surgery system for the program to participate in the national match and utilize the application.
- Performs other duties as necessary.
