The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) is seeking a highly organized and service‑oriented Administrative Associate to support the Decosimo Success Center in the Rollins College of Business. This position plays a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and providing exceptional support to students, staff, and campus partners.

Often serving as the first point of contact for visitors and students, the Administrative Associate helps create a welcoming, efficient, and student‑focused environment while overseeing office operations, administrative processes, and student worker support.

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) is seeking a highly organized and service oriented Administrative Associate to support the Decosimo Success Center in the Rollins College of Business.

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three (3) years of experience in an office or administrative environment

Preferred:

  • Five (5) years of experience in an office or administrative setting

Work Location:

  • University of Tennessee – Chattanooga, TN Campus
  • This is a fully on-site position.

Compensation and Benefits:


  • Oversee the daily operations of the Decosimo Success Center office, including front desk management and office workflow.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for students, staff, campus partners, and community professionals.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support, including record management, meeting minutes, correspondence, and office supply coordination.
  • Supervise and support student workers, including scheduling, training, and day‑to‑day guidance.
  • Process financial and administrative transactions, including departmental ledgers, procurement card reconciliation, payroll reports, invoices, and travel reimbursements.
  • Assist with hiring and onboarding processes for student workers and other employees, ensuring required documentation is completed.
  • Coordinate meetings, conference room reservations, special events, and projects for the Success Center.
  • Arrange travel for staff, students, and visitors as needed.
  • Maintain accuracy in tracking documents, budgets, and reports in compliance with university policies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of office administration practices, records management, and basic financial processes.
  • Skill in providing professional customer service and communicating effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Skill in using Microsoft Office and learning new systems and technologies.
  • Ability to organize work, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work independently, follow established procedures, and support student workers in a team‑based environment.
