Victoria and Thomas Martin School of Arts and Humanities has periodic openings for part-time, adjunct faculty to teach foreign language classes. The primary responsibility will be teaching elementary and intermediate Spanish language classes. Applicants may have the opportunity to teach other foreign languages depending on qualifications, interest, and need.

As part of our commitment to academic excellence, we are building a pool of skilled instructors who can contribute to students' success through engaging and effective teaching. The principal responsibility of the position is teaching undergraduate students.

Position Overview:

Adjunct instructors in Foreign Language will teach primarily elementary and intermediate Spanish to students earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. Courses may be offered face-to-face, online, or at off-campus locations depending on the University's needs. For the 2026-2027 year, there are opportunities to teach online.


Victoria and Thomas Martin School of Arts and Humanities has periodic openings for part-time, adjunct faculty to teach foreign language classes. The primary responsibility will be teaching elementary and intermediate Spanish language classes.
  • Master's degree or 18 graduate hours in Spanish or a related field.

  • Experience teaching college-level Spanish (preferred).

  • Proven record of quality instruction.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) such as Canvas.

  • Experience teaching other foreign language or ASL courses.

  • Teach courses on-campus, off-campus, or online as assigned.

  • Work with the department head to ensure consistent and appropriate student learning.

  • Utilize the College's learning management system (Canvas) to assess student projects and record grades in a timely manner.

  • Regularly check your email account. Respond to emails/messages in a timely manner.

  • Complete all required reports, such as early grade alerts, midterm grades, and final grades.
