The Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing general administrative tasks to support the Center for Teaching and Learning and the Library Learning Commons. This is a regular, full-time 100% grant-funded position, and continuation of employment is dependent upon grant funding.


The Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing general administrative tasks to support the Center for Teaching and Learning and the Library Learning Commons. This is a regular, full-time 100% grant-funded position, and continuation of employment is dependent upon grant funding.

Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask.
• Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Skilled in the use of office equipment, computers, printer/fax/copier/scanner, calculator.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting without direct supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of University’s policy and procedures.

Hiring Range $14.00 - $16.00 per hour (Market Range 04) – Salary commensurate with education and experience.


The Administrative Assistant will provide support through coordination of daily operations including the following:
• Communicate via email and phone as needed with staff, faculty and students.
• Maintain event and workshop calendars and organize events/workshops by preparing needed materials, scheduling meeting space, and ordering refreshments.
• Track and compile data and prepare reports as needed.
• Maintain office inventory and complete ordering procedures following University policy and DASH procedures.
• Assist with travel arrangements and prepare travel reimbursements in DASH.
• Work closely with the Title III Budget Manager to ensure all expenses of the Center for Teaching and Learning Commons are accounted for and reconciled at month's end.
• Attend training as provided by the University to maintain knowledge and understanding of policy and procedures.
• Maintain office equipment, key inventory, space inventory, and surplus inventory.
