The Class Scheduling Coordinator plays a key role in supporting academic operations by leading schedule maintenance and assisting with curriculum management. This position ensures accurate and timely construction of class schedules each semester, manages classroom assignments, and facilitates data transmission for approved curriculum proposals.

The Class Scheduling Coordinator (Student Services Associate 3 - MR06) plays a key role in supporting academic operations by leading schedule maintenance and assisting with curriculum management.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3–5 years of experience in higher education, preferably in a Registrar’s Office.
- Familiarity with AACRAO standards and FERPA regulations.
- Experience with Banner Student module.
Work Location:
- University of Tennessee – Chattanooga, TN Campus
- This is a fully on-site position.
Compensation and Benefits:
- UT Market Range: MR06
- Minimum salary: $45,000

Class Scheduling
- Create and maintain class schedules in the Student Information System each term.
- Support effective use of the university’s scheduling system (25Live).
- Assign classrooms to maximize space utilization.
- Maintain documentation and training materials for Schedule Build.
- Train faculty and staff on scheduling best practices.
Curriculum Management
- Transmit approved curriculum data into the Student Information System.
- Review catalog data for accuracy and alignment.
- Collaborate with Academic History staff on transfer equivalencies.
Pre-Registration & Office Support
- Serve as lead processor for new student pre-registration.
- Provide backup for withdrawals and front desk tasks.
Special Projects
- Conduct projects to ensure student record security.
- Act as functional lead on data cleanup initiatives.

Knowledge of advanced computer support systems for data management and ability to apply new technologies.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills, including problem-solving abilities.
