Under the Supervision of the Director of Information Technology, this position provides IT Services, including designing, developing code, and implementing software solutions for medium to large scope projects, for a variety of user needs, benefiting the College of Law's students, staff, and faculty. The person in this position is required to independently analyze and solve complex technical problems, using innovative solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience: 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Work Location: Onsite at the University of Tennessee Knoxville Winston College of Law

Compensation and Benefits

  • UT market range: MR12
  • Anticipated hiring range: $70,000.00 - $74,000.

  • Primarily responsible for designing, writing, testing, and implementing complex computer code in C# for medium-to-large projects.
  • Otherwise evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair existing code as necessary.
  • Creating innovative solutions to solve problems when competing policies are present.
  • Maintaining existing systems by testing and adapting code as necessary, particularly due to changes in external systems or other upgrades presenting coding incompatibility.
  • Creating documentation for new and existing software/code as required to facilitate maintenance and continued development of projects and systems.
  • Manages licenses for purchased relevant products and software.
  • Maintain current awareness of best practices and procedures in the field.
  • As a team member of the College's IT Department, this position may also assist in troubleshooting employee software problems that may arise or engage in necessary systems training.
