This position develops and delivers performance excellence training, consulting, facilitation and coaching services to businesses, government agencies, economic development organizations, nonprofits and communities. Services may address Baldrige framework, organizational development, leadership and strategy, workforce, and other areas important to customer growth and success.


This position develops and delivers performance excellence training, consulting, facilitation and coaching services to businesses, government agencies, economic development organizations, nonprofits and communities. Services may address Baldrige framework, organizational development, leadership and strategy, workforce, and other areas important to customer growth and success.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business public administration or related field
  • Experience: minimum 5 years of experience in organizational development performance improvement or related field
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
    • Knowledge of organizational development and performance excellence frameworks and practices
    • Ability to listen to customer, assess needs, and translate into action plans
    • Ability to develop and deliver complex consulting services; ability to interact with people at all levels of organization
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong presentation skills
    • Problem solving and project management skills
    • Computer skills (standard software packages).

  • Location: Nashville, TN

About The College/Department/Division

The UT Institute for Public Service provides outreach and assistance to all of Tennessee. Through our agencies and initiatives, we offer technical assistance, training and consulting on a wide variety of services, including government operations, language services, law enforcement excellence, leadership training, manufacturing excellence, opioid abatement and much more.


  • Developing customer relationships
  • Preparing project proposals
  • Developing/delivering training, consulting, facilitation and coaching services to advance CIS sand IPS internal performance excellence efforts.
  • This position has project administrative responsibilities that may include project management, financial management, record keeping, and other tasks required to ensure project success and compliance with university and funding partner requirements
