This position assists with the coordination of the graphic design and branding efforts for assigned Olympic sports, as well as physical signage and design elements for athletics facilities and venues. This position works to promote market and recruit for assigned sports with vibrant imagery and creativity through visual presentations and collateral.

Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (or must be able to obtain degree by time of hire)
- Experience: Previous experience in graphic design or related field. Graduate Assistantships and Internships considered.
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
The ideal candidate must be a "team player" who possesses the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight completion deadlines, work independently, communicate effectively and be of creative and imaginative mind.
Candidate should have the knowledge to ensure brand consistency and uniformity regarding logo and color usage for all programs.
Must be highly skilled in operating the Adobe CC graphic design software, including but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
Requires strong artistic and graphics skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: Previous graphic design experience working with a collegiate athletics department or professional sports organization. Graduate Assistantships and Internships considered.
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
The ability to create compelling and engaging social and digital content.
The ability to productively collaborate and communicate with the external team.
Skilled in creating print design and layout for game programs, sales and marketing collateral, fliers, posters, multi-page brochures and catalogs.

Design content (in an office setting using industry-standard software) specific to the needs of Tennessee Athletics administrators, coaches or teams.
Assist graphic design department with the conceptualization and implementation of athletics department graphic solutions, aids with recruitment of student-athletes and marketing for the department.
Plan, manage and coordinate concepts for all non-football sports that best brand the department from studying information, photography and materials.
Ensure brand consistency and uniformity in regard to and logo and color usage for all programs.
Develop solutions to further enhance the University, the athletics department and its programs.
Deliver cutting-edge design visuals for use in print, online, marketing, and other collateral.
Illustrate concepts through designs regarding arrangement, size, type, style and related aesthetic concepts.
Complete projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
Generate marketing materials — both digital and print — to be used in athletic venues and throughout the East Tennessee community in promoting Tennessee Athletics teams and events.
Facilities/venue branding; generate design and branding elements for physical spaces throughout the University of Tennessee's athletic facilities and venues (i.e. murals, signage, banners, photo collages); present mock-ups and concepts of designed spaces to relevant constituencies. Make site visits to determine plans for facilities graphics or provide guidance during installation.
Student/intern management; assist Director of Branding & Design in day-to-day task management of small student worker group; provide quality control and feedback; assist in training student staff on design processes and brand consistency
Attend meetings related to content plans and/or content strategy. Serve as an art director for team/individual portrait sessions
