The College of Nursing at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HR Associate to support our Human Resources team. The HR Associate will play a key role in data management, recruitment, employee onboarding, and maintaining HR records while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • 1 year of experience in human resources or data management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field

Work Location: Knoxville, TN onsite

Pay Range: $19 - $20/hour

Hours/week: 40 hours/week

Length of Assignment: approximately 4 – 5 months


Reporting to the Director of Human Resources & Employee Engagement, this entry-level position plays a pivotal role in supporting the college’s human resource operations. The role will assist with a variety of administrative HR functions, including DASH data management, maintaining employee records, candidate/new hire experience, and supporting compliance with relevant HR laws and regulations.

  • Assist with employee engagement activities and other special events as needed.
  • Prepare data for compliance reporting (e.g., AACN, CCNE) and internal audits.
