Job Description
Position Summary
The School of Social Sciences at the University of Tennessee Southern is seeking qualified part-time adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the fields of Behavioral Sciences, Criminal Justice/Homeland Security, and History.
Responsibilities
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of general psychology, sociology, social work, criminal justice, homeland security, United States, and world history. Must be willing to teach at times and locations that best suit the needs of students and the School.
Qualifications
Required Minimum Requirements
A minimum of a Master’s Degree from an accredited university in psychology, sociology, social work, criminal justice, homeland security, history, or a related field. A minimum of 18 hours related graduate-level coursework or significant practitioner experience may be applicable. A terminal degree in criminal justice or homeland security is required to teach in the Master’s Program. Must have the ability to learn or have prior experience with online teaching. A background search will be required of the successful applicant.
