Job Description
Grissom School of Education at the University of Tennessee Southern has periodic openings for part-time, adjunct faculty to teach and/or supervise Teacher Candidates in various courses. The position's principal responsibility is teaching and/or observing Teacher Candidates and, as appropriate, providing these candidates with academic or career advising. Further, the position is responsible for demonstrating academic competence in the appropriate subject matter area.
Responsibilities
Areas of potential need: Supervision of Clinical Practice: must have experience observing and evaluating teachers under the TEAM model.
Supervision and/or Teaching course work for Elementary, PE, Special Education and Secondary (Biology, English, History and Math), appropriately certified for professional education courses: must have K-12 appropriate experience.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education or related field, with 18 graduate semester hours in Education
- Five year experience in K-12 schools
- Three letters of recommendation from the district in which applicant is/was employed (must include supervisor)
- Participation in any meetings and/or training required by the School of Education
