Program Eligibility:
Currently enrolled at an accredited two or four-year college/university in the United States, pursuing an undergraduate, graduate and/or law degree
Graduating between Spring 2026 - Fall 2028
Have access to housing and transportation within the designated city (We do not offer housing or transportation accommodations)
Legally authorized to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future (e.g., H1-B, OPT, etc.)
Commit to 20 - 40 hours per week (based on individual business area)

Commercial Services - Commercial Partnerships (Onsite: CA):
How You’ll CREATE:
UMG Commercial Partnerships is the support organization for all owned and associated labels as well as UMG business divisions relating to the commercial exploitation of content. As a cross-functional team, we are the nexus of execution, working collaboratively with Labels, Digital Strategy, Production, Supply Chain/Customer Service, Content Protection, Rights Management, Global Insights, Data & Analytics and external industry partners.
Label Support: Liaise with account management team to field both owned and distributed label partners’ day-to-day requests such as DSP profile optimization, ad-hoc sales reporting, troubleshooting product delivery issues, and other operational support tasks
Account Management: Provide label partners with account-specific operational support, collect & communicate advanced links for RUSH releases, track & identify social media trends and provide summary to internal team
Release Admin & Planning: Assist in identifying & communicating UMG’s upcoming New Releases, working with owned & distributed labels to collect assets, organize pitch details, and communicate priorities to partners. Track, identify & summarize social media trends for internal team
Ideal candidates will have:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with emphasis on relationship building with labels and partners.
Experience with analytics, search engines and social media marketing is a plus. SQL, Python, data coding and visualization skills are welcome.
Strong interest in music and pop culture is a must!
Corporate Communications - Sustainability/ESG (Onsite: NY):
How You’ll CREATE:
The Sustainability/ESG team leads UMG's global environmental action, including accounting for and reducing negative environmental impacts, creating positive environmental impacts, and telling our story through formal reporting on other communications.
Organize and optimize upcoming disclosure activities

Data & Analytics - Global eCommerce & Audience Analytics/Reporting (Remote):
How You’ll CREATE:
Our team manages a variety of eCommerce and marketing reporting products, tools, and dashboards for a variety of business users. Our mission is to build compelling reports to drive meaningful action across our varied list of central teams and labels, and partner with other relevant teams (tech, data science, etc.) to find opportunities to enhance our capabilities and empower teams to make more data-informed decisions.
Serve a key role in the development of various reporting products/dashboards, helping to craft the technical approach and deliverable aligned with business objectives
Foster relationships with other labels, marketing, eCommerce, and operations teams to gather, scrutinize, and document business requirements
Design advanced, compelling, actionable data visualizations for a variety of different stakeholder groups
Help drive enterprise-wide product engagement and adoption via regular data QA and troubleshooting

Data & Analytics - Strategic Analytics (Onsite: CA):
How You’ll CREATE:
The Strategic Analytics department supports Universal Music Group’s global business by transforming data into actionable strategy. We partner with labels, central functions, and leadership teams to deliver advanced analytics, forecasting, and insight frameworks that inform artist strategy, catalog management, and market growth. Our mission is to make data-driven decision-making faster, smarter, and more impactful across the company.
As part of the Strategic Analytics team at Universal Music Group, you will contribute to high-impact projects that connect data, business strategy, and music. You will gain exposure to the analytical frameworks and commercial thinking that guide UMG’s global labels and leadership teams.
Support market and artist performance analyses, identifying trends that inform strategic and commercial decisions;
Assist in the design and delivery of analytical projects focused on catalog growth, release performance, and audience engagement;

The Facility & Property Services department manages all aspects of UMG’s physical spaces including ensuring a safe and functional office space, maintaining building systems, overseeing large construction projects and repairs, and managing lease strategies and landlord relations.

Work closely with the Global Insight Directors in running strategic analysis that informs A&R, commercial and digital strategies for UMG.
Support global insights team on artist and broader industry insights requests

How You’ll CREATE:
The Central Operations Finance team oversees the costs associated with the day-to-day operating departments such as facilities, PIC, royalties, and accounting. We create budgets and forecasts as well as review the actuals at month-end close.
Updating and preparing our forecast and budget files along with shadowing fellow team members to learn how to project future financial assumptions.
Attend meetings and assist with ensuring that we gather all necessary information to help with forecasting.

North America Finance - Finance & Planning (Onsite: CA):
How You’ll CREATE:
The North America Finance team consolidates the results of the Universal Music labels, providing guidance and analyzing performance for the North American territory. This position will interact closely with Universal Music label Finance teams and the Central Accounting team to support the monthly close processes, document variance explanations, and analyze results. The intern will be involved in the quarterly financial forecast and annual operating plan processes while also assisting with other ad hoc analyses as required.
Provide day-to-day finance support to the North America Recorded Music Division and liaise with the Label Finance teams and Central Accounting team on key elements of the monthly close/forecasts
Assist in preparation and assembly of quarterly financial forecasts and annual plan for UMG
Analyze actual variances to budget and forecast for various Universal Music divisions
Collect, analyze and report key performance indicators and highlight trends in margin, artist investment and cash flow
Participate in developing forward looking revenue guidance for North America labels by analyzing industry trends, marketing data, DSP reporting as well as historical data
