How We LEAD:

Capitol Christian Music Group is currently seeking a VP, Digital Marketing that will be responsible for leading and implementing Digital Marketing strategy including managing the Digital marketing department’s day-to-day operations, determining short form content strategy, executing best in class digital marketing activations, effectively managing and motivating a high-functioning team, casting vision & measuring weekly digital performance, paid media, and continually adjusting based on results and industry shifts. This person will be an integral part of CCMG’s Executive team, including a sharp focus on driving priorities, delivering results and breaking hit songs and artists.
Additionally, this person will work closely with internal teams to develop and execute fully integrated, progressive and innovative digital marketing strategies for a range of artists – from new signings to global superstars. He/She should have a strong understanding of artist development; streaming, digital; creative and content strategy; budget management; artist relations and the ability to collaborate with artists and music executives daily in and out of the office.


How you’ll CREATE:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital marketing strategy that breaks hits, drives brand awareness, fan engagement, and revenue growth for the label's artists and catalogue.

  • Manage 6+ person digital marketing team to deliver high performance. Demonstrate strong people management and leadership skills. Oversee teams’ work to define, plan, and execute digital marketing campaigns for label roster

  • Oversee Creator / influencer marketing strategy. Deliver creatives plans that accomplish stated goals on time and on budget

  • Oversee short form content strategy and execution, with focus on innovation, creativity and speed

  • Lead Audience Development strategy. Define audience goals, drive growth across social media, streaming platforms, and paid channels, and identify and cultivate superfan communities.

  • Lead CRM strategy including growth goals, implementation, and creative activations

  • Develop weekly digital scorecard to track performance of digital KPIs and continually refine for industry trends and shifts.

  • Lead paid media strategy. Ensure campaigns are performing optimally and aligned with brand guidelines.

  • Lead creation and optimization of all artist and label websites

  • Research Industry trends, artist communities and word-of-mouth analysis / sentiment.

  • Manage relationships with top-level artists, managers, and other partners

  • Leverage your relationships and expertise between artist teams and social media partners (TikTok, Instagram/FaceBook, YouTube/VEVO, Twitter, etc) on best practices, content trends, engagement and promotional opportunities.

  • Track and analyze campaign performance, content engagement/reach, CRM growth, social engagement and provide insights and key learnings to other departments.

  • Collaborate closely with leaders across the company to execute on and manage industry partnerships.

  • Present to stakeholders across the company to educate and align them around strategic goals and individual initiatives.

    Bring your VIBE:

  • 7-10+ years of experience in digital marketing within the music industry, preferably at a major label.

  • Strong analytical background and ability to create and update reports.

  • Expert knowledge of all current social media and digital platforms, and a proven track record of amplifying content, creating on platform engagement, and breaking artists through a social media lens

  • Strong experience with short form content strategy & execution

  • Creative thinker with ability to generate innovative marketing ideas

  • Proven people leadership and development skills with 3+ years of managing a high-functioning team

  • Experience breaking new artists with a keen understanding of current market conditions, trends and best practices.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams (strong project management, organization, and communication skills)

  • Excellent communication oral and written skills are a must. Candidate will be collaborating with presenting campaigns to and contextualizing results for a broad audience of artists, management, and executives every week and sending frequent real time updates as things happen.

  • Social strategy and paid media planning experience a must.

  • Must be proficient with using Excel, PowerPoint or Keynote, Photoshop, video editing software (Premiere or Final Cut), and comfortable with collaboration and asset management tools like Google Drive, Dropbox, Evernote, Basecamp and the like.

  • Candidate must be motivated, creative, innovative, organized, detail-oriented and accustomed to working under tight deadlines.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
