Custodial Manager Assistant

The Tivoli Theatre Foundation is searching for qualified bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates for the position of Custodial Manager Assistant. The Custodial team is a critical one that is responsible for ensuring the Tivoli Theatre Foundation’s venues (Tivoli Theatre, Walker Theatre, and Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Auditorium) are properly cleaned and sanitized during and after shows and appropriately prepared for upcoming shows. The Custodial Manager Assistant, reporting directly to the Custodial Manager, plays a vital role by leading by example and helping effectively communicate with the team. This position will include heavy duty cleaning along with assisting the Head of Cleaning Services.

Position Type: Non-Exempt

Hours: Must be available evenings and weekends. Approximately 30-40 hours (about 3 days)/week. Schedule will change weekly according to the show calendar.

Pay: $16/hour

Essential Job Functions

• Must be an effective bilingual communicator (English and Spanish)

• Assist the Custodial Manager in delegating tasks to other porters and cleaners

• Be a team player

• Able to work and manage independently without heavy supervision

• Highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications

• Must be an effective bilingual communicator (English and Spanish)

• Direct experience is not necessary - we will train the right candidate with the proper on-the-job for this position

• Ability to work nights and weekends

• Flexible schedule

• Must be able to frequently traverse the building including moving between multiple floors and ascending/descending stairs
