Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Analyze data from multiple sources and report on financial, inventory, and sales related Merchandise Division Key Performance Indicators
- Identify and manage product flow within the operation to ensure efficiencies of process and procedures, initiating timely actions in response to business fluctuations reacting to changes in demand and logistics
- Develop budget, regularly review financial performance and forecast for assigned area
- Routinely serve as Merchandise Person-in-Charge of Merchandise operations
Inventory control
- Demonstrates clear knowledge of division business process, auditing and governing functionality to ensure compliance and maintain data integrity
- Serve as DW Merchandise Inventory/POS System Subject Matter Expert
- Oversee inventory control functions: POS operations, Period End transactions, inventory discrepancies, periodic and annual physical inventory
- Under the direction of manager, analyze and implement plans to address aging and slow selling products Generate and provide business reports for leadership to analyze sales through categories, key programs, seasonal goods and raw materials
Inventory levels
- Provide support to store and distribution center operations relating to the organization, allocation, and flow of merchandise to include monitoring inbound packing slips, balancing inventory between locations and properties, raw materials
- Partner with buyers and operators to establish, execute and maintain inventory min/max level to ensure appropriate stock levels to maximize revenue
Direct Reports
- Responsible for HR functions of team including hiring, training, evaluating and developing hosts; to include coaching, annual authorization forms, host surveys, safety reporting, etc. to support individual growth and maintain a positive work environment
Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time
Education and Experience Required
- Must be 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED, required
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred
- Minimum 2 years of retail experience with multi-department or location responsibility, required
- Minimum 2 years of experience successfully implementing, analyzing, and troubleshooting as related to retail analysis, POS and retail inventory systems, required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word and Excel, required
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles according to company policy. Must have valid driver’s license, proof of auto liability insurance and acceptable motor vehicle driving record
- Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory completion of background screening which includes criminal history and motor vehicle record check

- Must be able to communicate effectively with Guests and Hosts using approved communication methods
- Able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and deliver projects ahead of schedule, fostering open communication and mutual support to achieve shared goals

- Able to perform duties consistent with creating a safe and secure environment for hosts and guests
- Able to be flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities
Physical Requirements | Environmental Conditions
- Lifting and Carrying: Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs utilizing company’s safety guidelines for safe lifting
- Mobility: Position may require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours
- Repetitive Movements: This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functions
- Environmental Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat
- Cognitive and Sensory Requirements: This position requires strong cognitive skills, including the ability to think critically, solve problems, process and retain information, have attention to detail and communicate effectively using approved communication methods
