POSITION SUMMARY
The Vice President of Human Resources provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the property human resources function, including Talent Acquisition, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Benefits, and Employee Relations. This role develops and executes people strategies that support organizational goals while ensuring compliance with employment laws, enhancing the host experience, and building a high-performing workforce. The Vice President serves as a trusted business partner to leaders across the region and leads the HR team in delivering innovative, efficient, and service-focused human resources programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute comprehensive talent acquisition, hiring, and onboarding strategies to meet workforce needs across the region.
  • Lead the planning, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, programs, processes, training initiatives, and host engagement efforts.
  • Partner with operational leaders to understand workforce needs and develop proactive staffing and talent strategies.
  • Analyze workforce data, HR metrics, and organizational trends to support business decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Monitor changes in employment legislation and HR trends, recommending and implementing policy and process updates as appropriate.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop HR team members through ongoing performance management, professional development, and succession planning.
  • Foster positive host relations by providing guidance on performance issues, investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters.
  • Strengthen the organization's employment brand through recruitment marketing and candidate experience initiatives.
  • Build collaborative partnerships with leaders across departments to support organizational objectives and workforce planning.
  • Serve as a senior HR leader and organizational representative during operational leadership rotations and other assigned responsibilities.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience supporting organizations with 1,000 or more employees.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple HR functional areas.
  • Experience developing and managing departmental budgets.
  • Proficiency with MS365 applications and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR).
  • Experience in hospitality, entertainment, theme parks, attractions, or organizations with large seasonal workforces.
  • Experience with workforce planning, employment branding, and large-scale recruiting initiatives.
