This role exists to perform skilled mechanical maintenance duties in the inspection, repair, installation and alteration of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and related equipment and facilities located throughout all Dollywood Company properties. All of this will be done in a manner consistent with the mission, values and operating philosophies and standards of the Dollywood Company.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, modify and install HVAC equipment including refrigeration and air conditioning compressors, receivers, condensers, chillers, water cooling towers, forced air converter units, pumps, automatic and hand valves, expansion valves and capillary tubes
- Inspect, troubleshoot and repair various types of commercial kitchen equipment
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units, isolated heating and ventilating units, including boilers, gas and electrically operated air conditioning equipment, and make necessary adjustments or repairs; service and repair evaporative coolers
- Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls, including thermostats, automatic switches, fan controls, log switches, damper motors, louvers, relays, filters, controls, belts, compressors, heat exchangers, high limit controls, pressure controls, safety valves, and automatic gas valves
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, welder torch, vacuum pump, test equipment utilized in the trade and a motor vehicle; maintain equipment in effective and safe working condition; maintain parts and tool inventory
- Repair and rebuild semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors and compressors for centrifugal refrigeration machines
- Perform skilled electrical maintenance work in the repair, installation and alteration of HVAC equipment, components, timers, motors and wiring systems as needed; connect motors to control panels
- Lubricate and pack heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air-conditioning motors, pumps, fans, and other equipment
- Install and calibrate systems; install copper tubing and repair pipes and tubing as necessary; test joints and insulate pipes of refrigeration and air conditioning systems; flush boilers, descale tubing; rebuild pressure and temperature safety valves and water pumps
- Install, rebuild, replace or repair fans, motors, thermostats, fuses, filters, bearings, valves, controls, gaskets and other equipment as necessary
- Maintain related records concerning time, labor and materials; maintain log of tasks performed and write reports as required

Education and Experience Required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be a Certified HVAC Technician
- A minimum of two years of documentable HVAC journeyman level operation, maintenance and repair experience in the HVAC and refrigeration trade
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles according to company policy. Must have valid driver’s license, proof of auto liability insurance and acceptable motor vehicle driving record
- Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory completion of background screening which includes criminal history and motor vehicle record check

- Able to use hand tools, power tools and equipment such as air compressor, skill saw, electric drill, impact wrench, hand wrenches, shovel, etc.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to perform these operations using units of the Metric system in weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Able to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret spreadsheets.
- Able to use hydraulic/pneumatic schematics and mechanical blueprints during routine maintenance/troubleshooting
- Able to understand machine prints with dimensions and tolerances as well as read and understand mechanical assembles and associated terminology
- Able to be clean shaven in order to properly utilize a respirator
Physical Requirements | Environmental Conditions
- Lifting and Carrying: Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs utilizing company’s safety guidelines for safe lifting
- Mobility: Position may require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours
- Repetitive Movements: This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functions
- Environmental Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat
- Cognitive and Sensory Requirements: This position requires strong cognitive skills, including the ability to think critically, solve problems, process and retain information, have attention to detail and communicate effectively using approved communication methods
- Able to endure temperatures of 0 to 110 degrees
- Able to balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch, and work in confines spaces
- Able to lift, carry, push and/or pull objects and materials of moderately heavy weight (up to 50 pounds) and occasionally heavier weight (up to 100 pounds)
- Able to work at heights up to and in excess of 150ft
