The HR Operations Supervisor – HRIS & Benefits is responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day the administration of employee benefit programs and the management of the Information Systems for the Dollywood Company and to comply with applicable regulations on matters relating to company sponsored benefits programs and HRIS.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.
Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Administration of Company benefits programs (health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, survivor’s income benefit, flexible spending plan, 401(k) and profit-sharing plan, paid time off, and leaves of absence)
- Maintain accurate data in our Human Capital Management System (HCMS), The Host Hub powered by UKG
- Communicate one-on-one as well as to large groups to accurately explain benefit programs or HCMS processes/procedures
- Complete enrollment and disenrollment for all eligible Hosts into the various benefit plans
- Coordinate annual enrollment and ensure all necessary deadlines are met
- Maintain benefits section of the Dollywood Parks & Resorts Host Handbook
- Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the Company’s benefit programs
- Be an on-site expert and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding benefits and/or labor laws
- Supervises the interactive process for Hosts requesting accommodation under the ADA
- Manage yearly ACA Lookback period. Monitor and ensure Hosts are working per their classification through follow-up and proper reporting. Make recommendations regarding Host classification changes
- Select, train, supervise and develop non-exempt hosts. Provide staff with goals, measurable targets, coaching, and accountability
- Be an advocate for Hosts to ensure fair and consistent treatment by management in the workplace
- Evaluate and revise internal processes to increase efficiency and compliance
- Assist in the development of long-range objectives regarding benefits programs or HCMS in conjunction with the Property Support team and HR management
- Oversee Human Resource Information Systems and processes including but not limited to:
- onboarding
- employee database records
- timekeeping
- scheduling
- seasonal rehires
- data and analytics
- Act as in-house support to stakeholders to provide coaching, instruction, and advice on the use of all HR systems, processes, and key performance indicators
- Ensure all personnel and benefits records are complete, accurate and compliant with HFE record and retention procedures, including hires, promotions, transfers, performance evaluations, terminations, enrollments, classifications and employee statistics for government reporting
- Develop and measure management, operational, and custom reports, metrics, and accountability standards
- Serve as active member of Property Support Center team to lead company-wide HRIS initiatives
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required filings
- Support Human Resources team with various all HR employee events such as mass hiring days, rehire processing, Host events, etc.
- Routinely serve as HR Person-in-charge

Education and Experience Required
- Must be 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred
- At least 2 years of related benefits administration experience preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources Information Technology with a proven track record in a company of at least 500 employees
- Experience directly supervising 2-5 employees preferred
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Able to type a minimum of 35 words per minute
- Must demonstrate a firm knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations including ACA, FLSA, EEO, ADA, FMLA, COBRA, Section 125, ERISA and HIPAA legislation
- Proven experience showing a high level of organization and ability to prioritize workload
- Previous project and team leadership skills and experience
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proven experience managing several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
- A work history that displays strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of benefit plan designs
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles according to company policy. Must have valid driver’s license, proof of auto liability insurance and acceptable motor vehicle driving record
- Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory completion of background screening which includes criminal history and motor vehicle record check

- Able to be flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities
Physical Requirements | Environmental Conditions

Lifting and Carrying: Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. utilizing company’s safety guidelines for safe lifting
- Mobility: Position may require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours
- Repetitive Movements: This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functions
- Environmental Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat
