This role exists to provide leadership including paperwork, scheduling, keeping up with ride throughput and maintaining a healthy, efficient, and effective team for Parking operations of Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Supervises operations of a parking operations area; prepare work schedules, training outlines, team lead reports, and process payroll on a weekly basis
  • Assists Senior Team Lead/Supervisor by making them aware of disciplinary action recommendations
  • Completes and issues Performance Appraisals
  • Assists Senior Team Lead/Supervisor with the information needed to respond to guests’ written and verbal comments
  • Responsible for interviewing candidates for the Parking Team
  • Operates your area(s) within budget
  • Ensures areas/hosts have required equipment and supplies
  • Identifies and develops future Safety Trainers
  • Completes daily written reports and maintain ongoing host journals
  • Interacts with and build positive relationships with other departments
  • Reports all unsafe acts to appropriate management

Education and Experience Required

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • May be required to provide a copy of personal driving record from home state
  • Must have less than three (3) traffic violations on record in the last three (3) years
  • Must not have a DUI conviction in the past 15 years on record
  • Must be able to poses 20/20 vision (with or without corrective lenses)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to safely operate company vehicles according to company policy. Must have valid driver’s license, proof of auto liability insurance and acceptable motor vehicle driving record
  • Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory completion of background screening which includes criminal history and motor vehicle record check
  • Prior experience training or leading a staff of 30+ employees
  • Parking or transportation experience preferred
  • Sales experience preferred

  • Ability to hear warning communications and sounds
  • Ability to visually and physically check seat restraints/harnesses
  • Ability to speak clearly in order to operate two-way radio, pager and PA system
  • Must have manual dexterity necessary to complete all job duties
  • Ability to operate a fire extinguisher and ability to train hosts on its proper use
  • Ability to tolerate stress due to job responsibilities and serious consequences of making an error
  • Ability to properly wear personal protective equipment if/when required
  • Ability to tolerate detergents and chemicals
  • Must be willing to work in any assigned area of Attractions and perform other functions as assigned
  • Must be able to drive all motor vehicles used in operations – tram, bus, shuttle van, truck, and golf cart
  • Ability to memorize scripted material

Physical Requirements | Environmental Conditions

  • Lifting and Carrying: Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs utilizing company’s safety guidelines for safe lifting
  • Mobility: Position may require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours
  • Repetitive Movements: This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functions
  • Environmental Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat
  • Cognitive and Sensory Requirements: This position requires strong cognitive skills, including the ability to think critically, solve problems, process and retain information, have attention to detail and communicate effectively using approved communication methods
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the job
  • Ability to stand, sit and/or walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to push and/or pull
  • Ability to bend at the waist and knees for long periods of time
  • Ability to move about and react quickly while loading and unloading trams
  • Ability to tolerate heights of up to 200 ft to support ride operations
  • Ability to climb evacuation steps and maintain good balance
