POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Nashville Predators Hockey Club is looking for the next key piece to join our team and help build the excitement at Bridgestone Arena.
In this fast-paced, competitive and fun office culture we are looking for our next Group Sales teammate. The Account Executive, Group Sales creates a unique, first-class experience by prospecting and selling group packages for the Nashville Predators, Bridgestone Arena, and F&M Bank Arena events.
Specific focus will be placed on establishing relationships with greater Nashville businesses, schools, membership organizations, and clubs that result in annual event programming. This position will generate group sales through self-prospected leads as well as internal campaigns assigned within the Nashville Predators Bridgestone, and F&M Bank Arena databases.
This role will maximize sales opportunities each day through outbound sales efforts including face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and e-mails. This role will oversee specific categories (i.e. Youth Sports, Alumni Groups, etc.) as well as leverage various Fan Experience Packages to surpass sales goals. This position will have the flexibility to sell a full menu of ticket products including season ticket plans, suites, concerts, events, and other various products.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
- Generating new ticket sales through phone calls, emails, networking, and face-to-face appointments.
- Sell a full menu of Bridgestone Arena and F&M Bank Arena offerings with a focus on Nashville Predators group events.
- Work majority of Nashville Predators home games to identify and host new business prospects and service/upsell established clients.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external clients.
- Prospect and nurture new sales leads through creative lead generation.
- Conduct face-to-face sales appointments and/or tours weekly.
- Meet and exceed established monthly and annual sales, effort and revenue goals.
- Identify business opportunities by establishing professional and personal networks, aggressively soliciting and following up on any sales leads generated.
- Ensure customer data and profile requirements are accurately and completely detailed for defined accounts in CRM system.
- Work assigned sales, promotional and team events during games and outside normal business hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business, communications, marketing, sports management or related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience as a top sales producer, preferably in the sports & entertainment industry.
- Strong knowledge and real passion for a long-term career in the revenue-generating segment of the sports business.
- Great teammate with the ability to handle multiple assignments in a dynamic environment.
- High comfort level making calls and consistent outbound sales efforts.
- Strong time management, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and to self-motivate.
- Strong creative problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Preferably possesses a database of qualified corporate prospects.
- Flexibility in working extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- As a condition of employment, qualified applicant will be subject to a background check, including a criminal history check, driving history and character references.
- Possess a valid driver’s license, possess a suitable driving history and be insurable by our insurance carrier (without conditions).
Essential Physical Functions:
- This position requires that work primarily be performed from the Nashville Predators office in Nashville, TN, and may require attendance at events taking place at the F&M Bank Arena and the greater Nashville area.
- Must be able to access all seating areas to handle customer issues.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent speaking and listening skills, requiring the perception of speech.
