Position Summary
NGP is seeking a motivated Junior Fabricator to join our production team. This entry-level position is responsible for assisting with the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of metal components and products while learning industry standards, fabrication techniques, and safety procedures. The ideal candidate is eager to develop technical skills and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Basic fabrication of steel, aluminum light gauge stock
- Basic understanding of fabrication equipment; Brake Press; Shear; Cold Saw, Welding & Grinding
- Basic understanding of fabrication tools; Grinders, Die Grinders & Drills
- Basic understanding of measurement equipment; Tape Measure, Venier Calipers & Combination Square
- Basic understanding of units of measurement; Fractions, Decimals & Millimeters
Duties
- Read orders and make material requirement decisions
- Cut, Form, Weld, Grind or Bevel Prep raw material.
- Follow production schedules and supervisor instructions.
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
- Adhere to workplace safety and quality standards.
- Maintain clean work environment.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, order-picking, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to read pick tickets, product labels, and written instructions.
- Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work accurately while meeting daily picking goals.
- Basic computer or handheld scanner skills preferred.
- Dependable attendance and the ability to work effectively with a team.
- Willingness to learn NGP products and warehouse procedures.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and move products within established safety limits, using assistance or equipment as needed.
- Ability to handle long or bulky products safely.
- Work in a warehouse or manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
