Job Summary/Basic Function

Provide administrative support to the students, faculty, and chair for the department of Philosophy and Religious Studies and contribute to the successful operation of the department. Tasks might include: compose correspondence; maintain files and reports; monitor and maintain department expenses and reporting; initiate travel arrangements for conferences or special events; prepare adjunct faculty and department contracts; develop and maintain enrollments and course offerings; maintain key and equipment inventory; order office equipment and supplies; monitor tasks of student workers; schedule meetings, agendas, oversee website and any social media accounts, assist with internships, facilitate relationships with the Dean's office, etc. Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Required Education

High School diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) required.

Required Related Experience

Three years of secretarial, clerical, or administrative support experience required. An associate’s degree (two years of college coursework) plus one year of related experience, or a bachelor’s degree, may be accepted in lieu of the three-year experience requirement.

Required License/Registration/Certification

CAP/CPS preferred but not required
