Job Summary/Basic Function

The Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) Program Director provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the University's Prior Learning Assessment program, ensuring compliance with institutional and national standards while advancing innovative pathways for adult learners – particularly working professionals to earn academic credit for prior learning. The position oversees program administration, teaching, and curriculum development for PRST 3010 (PLA portfolio development course), schedules course offerings, and coordinates instructor assignments, student advising, and cross-campus collaboration to expand access, improve processes, and promote student success. This role serves as the University's subject matter expert on PLA, leading continuous improvement initiatives and fostering partnerships that support degree completion and workforce development.

Required Education

Masters degree in a related field

Required Related Experience

Two (2) years of experience delivering classroom, online, or hybrid instruction.

Desirable Related Experience

Three (3) years progressively responsible work experience with prior learning assessment programs or adult degree completion program preferred.
