Job Summary/Basic Function
Reporting to the Director of TBTV Event Productions, the Video Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of professional video systems and equipment for large-scale campus events and athletic broadcasting. This position requires technical expertise in live video production, streaming technologies, and broadcast standards, combined with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced, live event environments.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting, Film, Video Production, Communications, Engineering, or related field.
Required Related Experience
0-1 years of relevant experience.
Desirable Related Experience
• Experience with NCAA broadcasting standards and requirements
• Proficiency with streaming platforms such as ESPN+, YouTube Live, Facebook Live, or proprietary athletic broadcasting systems
• Knowledge of video control room design and installation
• Experience with graphics systems and character generators for broadcast
• Experience with sports graphics and scoreboard integration
• Familiarity with other graphics systems (ProPresenter, Vizrt, Avid, Chyron) or broadcast control systems
• Experience with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
• Experience with data-driven graphics and live data feeds
• Experience in a higher education or professional sports broadcasting environment
• Certification in broadcast technology or a related field
