Job Summary/Basic Function
Reporting to the Director of Campus Recreation, direct a comprehensive area of Campus Recreation Programs consisting of: Intramural Sports, Fitness and Wellness, Outdoor Recreation, Club Sports, and Aquatics. Supervise and provide leadership to the Coordinator of Fitness and Wellness, Coordinator of Sports Programs, Coordinator of Aquatics, and Coordinator of Outdoor Programs. Provide supervisory leadership to 5 part time para professional staff and/or graduate assistants and approximately 125 undergraduate employees. Work collaboratively with other departments and campus organizations to support the students' educational and recreational experience. The Associate Director of Programs will be responsible for aligning all assessments within the Program area to support the Strategic Plan of MTSU. In addition, the Associate Director of Programs must work dynamically with a collaborative spirit and a student-centered focus.
Required Education
Master's degree
Required Related Experience
Three years full time progressively responsible experience managing recreation programs.
Desirable Related Experience
University recreation administration including supervising professional staff.
Desirable License/Registration/Certification
CPR, First Aid, AED, PDT instructor
