Job Summary/Basic Function
Serve a member of the Student Union's Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the Director for Student Unions, perform a variety of complex secretarial, administrative and clerical tasks, to include but not limited to, receiving, directing and assisting visitors and incoming telephone calls; providing procedural information; drafting and generating a variety of materials including correspondence, memos, reports and presentations; maintaining director's calendars; making travel arrangements; monitoring and maintaining multiple budget operations; completing new hire paperwork for student workers; administering departmental student worker payroll; purchasing supplies and equipment as needed; and performing other related duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Education
High School diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) required.
Required Related Experience
Three (3) years of secretarial/clerical, bookkeeping experience required. Note: An Associate's degree (two years of college coursework) and one year related experience may be considered in lieu of work experience.
Desirable Related Experience
Prior experience in a University setting preferred. Familiar with Banner or similar software programs preferred.
Desirable License/Registration/Certification
CAP/CPS preferred.
