Job Summary:

The Vinyl Press Operator operates a vinyl record pressing machine to produce high-quality records. This position is also required to check the finished product for good quality.

Duties/Responsibilities:

● Start and shut down presses & monitor their operations

● Make necessary adjustments to maintain quality of finished product

● Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned production area

● Consistently meet production schedule plan by reading and understanding the schedule

● Complete necessary documentation for jobs being pressed and completed

● Maintain a constant visual on product produced and perform visual quality inspections on records pressed on your machines

● Determine and report press and product malfunctions to appropriate personnel

● Communicate effectively with managers, supervisor and other associates

● Follow all safety and company policies and procedures

● Other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

● Ability to follow and read instructions/schedules to carry out assignments

● Comfortable in working around heavy duty machinery in a manufacturing environment ● Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all associates

● Ability to handle a physically demanding workload – standing for long periods of time, heavy lifting and moving

● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

● Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

● Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

Education and Experience:

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

Potential lifting of up to 60 lbs.

Extended periods of standing, lifting and moving
