Pay
Salaried Grade 14 or 16
$122,600 – $168,400 / year, depending on experience and qualifications

The base salary range represents the starting and expected pay for this position. Actual salaries may vary and in some cases, may be higher with extensive experience and strong performance.

Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (or as required by business needs)
Hybrid-remote with 4 days on-site each week; subject to change based on business need

Job Summary
McKee Foods is seeking a Compensation and Benefits Manager to lead the Corporate Compensation and Benefits Team in HR. This role manages a team of professional staff and plans, coordinates, executes, and administers the compensation, wellness, and benefit functions of McKee Foods. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Leads the development, implementation, and administration of compensation, wellness, and benefit programs
  • Manages common compensation functions, including salary structure evaluation and design, merit pay processes, job classifications, salary budget review, and market compensation analyses
  • Manages benefits programs, including health, retirement, life, disability, medical savings accounts, paid time off, and voluntary plans
  • Manages health and wellness programs, including in-house health and fitness programs, and an on-site clinic and pharmacy
  • Works with senior management and human resources to ensure that compensation, wellness, and benefits programs remain competitive, are aligned with company strategy, and meet all legal requirements
  • Supervises benefits, compensation, wellness, retirement, and benefits analytics professional staff
  • Serves on various company compensation and benefits committees in addition to retirement and health, and wellness committees
  • Leads or serves on continuous improvement project teams
  • Develops and manages compensation and benefits department budgets
  • Manages numerous comp and benefits vendor/partner relationships, including large contracts and contract negotiations, and requests for proposals (RFP) responsibilities
  • Responsible for vendor scorecards and ensuring that vendor programs are driving the desired outcome and ROI

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas of expertise: compensation and benefits management, human resources management, business unit management, financial or other data or software analysis
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, manage, and inspire others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences
  • Demonstrated high level of personal integrity
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret complex data and arrive at sound business decisions
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to work under pressure, under short timelines, and with frequent interruptions
  • Proficient with Office productivity software (i.e., MS Office Suite, Google Office Suite, etc.)
  • Power user with data analytics tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau or PowerBI)
  • If not already professionally certified, willingness to acquire certifications in compensation and benefits

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other graduate degree in a related area
  • 8 years of related experience with 3 years of experience in compensation or benefits leadership
  • Proficient with Workday and predictive analytics software
  • Relevant professional Certifications (CCP, CBP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CAPM, PMP, etc.)
  • Proven experience leading effective change
  • Experience working with lean or continuous improvement principles to solve problems and eliminate waste
