About the role:
Are you a strategic and driven sales leader with a passion for live entertainment? We’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded Business Development Director to join Live Nation’s Brand & Marketing Partnerships team in Melbourne or Sydney. In this senior, client-facing role, you’ll drive sponsorship income and deliver meaningful brand partnerships across Live Nation’s portfolio, from iconic venues and festivals to touring, ticketing, and digital platforms, creating innovative connections between fans and brands that bring our live experiences to life.
You’ll leverage your deep market knowledge and strong network to uncover and negotiate new commercial opportunities, leading high-level conversations through to successful deal execution. Collaborating with teams across the business, you’ll ensure each partnership delivers measurable value and aligns with Live Nation’s strategic goals.

What you’ll be doing:
- Driving new business: Secure high-value sponsorships across Live Nation’s concerts, festivals, venues, ticketing, and digital assets.
- Client relationship management: Build trusted partnerships with senior brand stakeholders, acting as a strategic advisor.
- Sales excellence: Meet and exceed annual sales targets while contributing to overall team performance.
- Collaboration: Partner with internal teams – including Client Services, Legal, Finance, and Marketing to deliver seamless outcomes.
- Contract management: Oversee the full contracting process from negotiation to execution and handover.
- Renewals and retention: Support ongoing client success by contributing to renewals and account growth strategies.
- Reporting and admin: Maintain Salesforce pipelines, sales documentation, and financial reports with accuracy and transparency.
- Representation: Attend key industry events, conferences, and client engagements to promote Live Nation and drive opportunities.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven success: A strong track record of closing high-value partnerships with top-tier brands in Australia.
- Industry expertise: Deep understanding of the sponsorship landscape, ideally within entertainment, music, or sport.
- Commercial acumen: Ability to identify, assess, and deliver commercially viable partnership opportunities.
- Negotiation skills: Confident communicator with persuasive presentation and deal-making abilities.
- Network and influence: Established brand and agency connections across multiple categories.
- Organisation and precision: Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deals simultaneously.
