Operating collaboratively in a highly autonomous role, this position will report directly to the VP, Human Resources, leading the People Team supporting the FedEx Data & Technology (D&T) organization. The role functions as a Chief of Staff and strategic thought partner, supporting the VP in driving clarity, connection, and alignment across the People Team and with broader enterprise stakeholders. This individual will be responsible for driving strategic coordination, project alignment, and storytelling that clearly demonstrates how HR strategies are fueling the success of the D&T transformation. They will extract insights from across the People Team, manage and prioritize key deliverables, and translate complex information into executive-ready presentations and strategic messages. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, light-touch project management, and strong synthesis skills with the ability to operate effectively across both HR and IT environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support planning and prioritization across the People Team by aligning stakeholders around goals, timelines, and outcomes.
- Coordinate key inputs and project deliverables to ensure progress across multiple HR focus areas (e.g., talent acquisition, workforce planning, onboarding, organizational design).
- Partner closely with the People Team, business strategy leads, and Chiefs of Staff across the D&T organization to synthesize progress, identify strategic insights, and ensure alignment with enterprise priorities.
- Translate complex information and HR data into clear, compelling stories using well-designed presentation materials and structured messaging.
- Build strategic narratives and executive presentations that showcase the impact of HR initiatives on the success of D&T and enterprise transformation.
- Collaborate with the VP to prepare for executive discussions, enterprise meetings, and transformation updates.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and elevate internal processes that support HR’s strategic alignment with the D&T organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for connecting disparate data points into cohesive insights.
- Exceptional ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and craft clear, structured messages for executive audiences.
- Proven track record of managing projects or workstreams across matrixed organizations with minimal supervision.
- High level of comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where priorities shift and direction may evolve.
- Adept at managing multiple deliverables simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of quality and accuracy.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, with strong visual thinking and experience preparing executive-level presentations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with senior leaders, peers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Familiarity with HR or business transformation efforts in large enterprise environments is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree /equivalent. Seven (7) years work experience in specifically applicable fields such as: Human Resources, Benefits, Project Management, Information Technology, Analytics, or Business Planning. Engagement of executive level management (officer level) in the above areas required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: US pay range: $9,667.00 - $14,500.00 monthly
