2027 Season — Experiential Talent Call

Ten markets. Roles across creative production, design, and fabrication. We're building the 2027 roster now.

Read this first — these are not marketing roles

We build things.

The work in this call is physical: festival environments, scenic, activations, hospitality and premium builds, stage and site design, signage and environmental graphics — designed, drawn, engineered, fabricated, trucked, and installed outdoors on a date that cannot move. It is closer to construction and themed entertainment than it is to advertising.

We do produce marketing and sponsorship deliverables as part of the work. But this is not the marketing department, and these are not brand strategy, campaign, social, digital, performance, or agency account roles.

If your work has been drawn, built, installed, rained on, and struck at 3 a.m. — keep reading.

Who we are

At Danny Wimmer Presents, we don’t just put on festivals—we create unforgettable experiences where music, fans, and brands come together in epic ways! We are currently looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, can meet urgent deadlines, and shines under pressure. Passion for music is essential, as we offer long-term growth opportunities for individuals willing to learn from the ground up.

Why we're doing it this way

Our show volume is growing fast and the experiential side of our business is scaling with it.

Rather than post two dozen roles one at a time over the next six months, we're running a single open talent search. We want to meet the whole field at once, then match people to the right scope, market, and timeline.

So tell us what you do and when you're free. We'll come to you as roles lock.

What you'd work on

Welcome to Rockville · Sonic Temple · Inkcarceration · Louder Than Life · & Beyond · Aftershock · GoldenSky — plus new markets in development

Established multi-year events, major refreshes, and blank canvases.

When

Hiring now. Work begins immediately and runs through Q4 2027, with the heaviest load across the spring and fall build cycles.

Where

Development and planning work is remote, or based out of Los Angeles or Nashville. On-site work happens in market — Daytona, Columbus, Mansfield, Louisville, Sacramento, and our new markets.

How it works

Most of these engagements are freelance / independent contractor, scoped to a build cycle, a festival, or a defined workstream.

Strong contributors may be extended into 2028, and some contract roles may lead to full-time opportunities. Extension is earned on delivery, not implied.

What we look for in everyone

Regardless of discipline or level:

  • Large-scale live event, festival, touring, themed entertainment, or experiential background — outdoor, temporary, and at scale

  • Delivery against fixed, immovable dates. The show opens whether or not you're ready

  • Concurrent projects across overlapping build cycles in multiple markets

  • Fluency reading and working from architectural, structural, and design drawings

  • Experience seeing work through fabrication and installation — and holding quality in the field, not discovering problems at load-out

  • On-site presence through load-in, build, show, and load-out, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays during build and show periods

  • Willingness to travel to festival sites and fabrication shops

  • Composure when the plan changes at 1 a.m. — and the judgment to make the call

Roles we're filling

Producers

Senior Producer · Producer · Associate Producer · Production Coordinator

Own experiential scope for a festival or market end to end — estimating, procurement, schedule, vendors, quality, and on-site delivery.

  • 5+ years in creative production, project management, or production management delivering physical builds against fixed dates (8+ for senior levels; coordinator level open to less)

  • Demonstrated ownership of project budgets — estimating, quantity takeoffs, forecasting, cost tracking, and change management

  • Hands-on procurement: bid packages, competitive bidding, bid leveling, negotiation, and vendor management. We hold a three-bid minimum

  • Experience enforcing build quality against drawings and specifications — shop inspection, first-article review, punch list, and acceptance

  • Experience onboarding and directing contractors and labor crews on site

  • Working proficiency in project management, budgeting, and document control platforms

  • Construction or general contracting project controls experience is a strong plus

Design Leadership & Technical Drawing

Design Director · CAD Drafter, Levels II–IV

Lead design for a market, or produce the drawing packages that get it built, permitted, and installed.

  • 7+ years in environmental, production, scenic, exhibit, themed entertainment, or architectural design for director-level roles

  • Advanced Vectorworks — worksheets, viewports, external references, data visualization; experience working in a shared, multi-user file environment

  • Real-time rendering and visualization (Chaos Enscape or equivalent), including renderings produced for sales and sponsor audiences

  • Fluency translating 3D models into 2D design intent drawings, and producing architectural and structural documentation

  • Working knowledge of code, permitting, egress, capacity, and life safety as they apply to temporary event structures and assembly occupancies

  • Experience engaging and coordinating outside design consultants and structural engineers

  • Plus: 3D scanning, point cloud, and LiDAR in a CAD environment; Blender, 3ds Max, Maya, or Cinema 4D; FAA Part 107

Environmental & Experiential Design

Environmental Graphic Designer · Interior Designer · Lighting Designer · Set / Scenic Designer

Design the spaces people move through — activations, VIP and premium environments, stages, scenic, retail, camping, and site-wide atmosphere.

  • A portfolio of built work — designed, documented, and installed, not only rendered

  • You design for the build, not for the render: buildability, budget, sightlines, weather, durability, and the guest at eye level

  • Ability to produce design intent drawings and coordinate with CAD, engineering, and fabrication

  • Vectorworks preferred; non-architectural 3D and animation tools a plus

  • Experience designing for reuse and modularity across multiple events is valued — our assets travel

Fabrication & Build

Fabricator — carpentry, metal and welding, scenic paint, CNC

Shop build and on-site install across the season.

  • Large-scale scenic, structural, or environmental build experience

  • Ability to read and build from shop drawings and specifications

  • Seasonal availability through build and show windows, including travel to site
