POSITION SUMMARY:
The Temporary Social Marketing Project Manager supports the day-to-day operations of CMA’s Social Media team with a primary focus on project management and social analytics reporting. This position will manage the organization and flow of social projects from request through completion, ensuring needs are submitted and maintained in Basecamp, deadlines and approvals are tracked, and final assets and information are accurately transferred to the social content calendar.
This position will also support social analytics and reporting, helping organize performance data, identify key learnings and translate social metrics into meaningful insights and recaps. Additional responsibilities include maintaining team documents and resources and providing social marketing and administrative support as needed.
The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, proactive and professional, with strong project management skills and a working knowledge of social media platforms, their backend functionality and analytics.
Timing: October 1, 2026 - December 22, 2026 with possibility to extend into 2027
Schedule: 40 hours/week
Location: This position is based in Nashville, TN and requires in-person work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management & Social Operations
- Serve as the primary day-to-day coordinator for Social Media projects in Basecamp, ensuring project needs and requests are submitted, organized and kept up to date.
- Manage project workflows from request through completion, tracking deadlines, assignments, approvals, outstanding needs and final deliverables.
- Proactively track outstanding tasks, assets and approvals and follow up with appropriate team members to help keep projects on schedule.
- Assist with the social content calendar, transferring final assets, copy and relevant project information from Basecamp and ensuring placeholders, timing and final live links remain accurate and up to date.
- Help ensure alignment between Basecamp, the social content calendar and other team planning documents (including meetings), so information remains current and organized.
- Maintain departmental documents, trackers, Marketing plan updates and other team resources.
- Create and organize spreadsheets, Word documents, Canva presentations, meeting notes and other materials as needed.
- Provide additional project management and administrative support to the Social Media team.
Social Analytics & Reporting
- Pull, organize and report performance data across CMA’s social platforms for recurring, campaign, event, and broadcast reporting.
- Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets, trackers and reporting documents to organize social metrics and content performance.
- Assist with Sprout Social listening setup, monitoring, and recaps
- Assist with developing social media recaps and presentations for internal teams, leadership and external partners.
- Analyze social performance to identify top-performing content, trends, key learnings and opportunities.
- Help translate social metrics into clear takeaways and narratives that demonstrate performance and inform future social strategy.
- Maintain accurate reporting documentation, including final social post links, campaign deliverables and other supporting data.
Social Marketing Support
- Monitor CMA’s social platforms and the broader social landscape for relevant conversations, trends and real-time engagement opportunities.
- Assist with writing and editing social copy while maintaining CMA’s brand voice and platform best practices.
- Provide publishing, scheduling and community engagement support as needed.
- Maintain a working knowledge of social platform capabilities, backend functionality, trends, algorithms and best practices.
- Assist with quality control of social content, including copy, tagging, links and platform-specific considerations.
- Support social-first iPhone and Osmo content capture at events and other opportunities as needed.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in social media, social analytics, project management, or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of major social platforms and their backend functionality.
- Demonstrated ability to pull, organize and report social media analytics and identify meaningful performance insights.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with a project management platform such as Basecamp preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with Google Sheets, Sprout Social and Canva preferred.
- Strong written and editing skills with an understanding of social copywriting and brand voice.
- Proactive, professional and solution-minded with strong communication skills and the ability to identify needs, follow up on outstanding items and keep projects moving.
- Knowledge of Country Music is a plus
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, especially surrounding major CMA events as needed.
