POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Manager, Lifecycle Marketing supports the day-to-day execution of the organization's audience engagement, marketing messaging and fan experience initiatives across owned channels including email and text. Working closely with the Director, Lifecycle Marketing, this role helps plan, create, coordinate, execute, and optimize targeted communications to members, music industry professionals, partners, consumers, and other key audiences.
This role sits at the intersection of multiple teams including Marketing, Communications, Industry Relations, the CMA Foundation and Data Architecture. They will collaborate with partners across the organization to develop and execute audience engagement strategies, create compelling marketing content and bring campaigns to life across multiple channels. The Project Manager will work closely with the Data Architecture team to develop and activate audience segments to ensure communications reach the right audiences with relevant, timely, and impactful messaging. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, creative and comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines while balancing data-driven decision making with engaging storytelling.
This position is based in Nashville, TN and requires in-person work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build, test, QA, and deploy email and SMS campaigns using the organization's marketing automation platform (currently using Customer.IO)
- Maintain and manage email and SMS calendars and workflows to ensure operational clarity and consistency.
- Support A/B testing and optimization initiatives across email and SMS channels.
- Create and edit engaging copy and content for marketing campaigns across email, SMS, and other fan engagement channels.
- Coordinate creative assets, approvals and timelines to ensure campaigns launch accurately and on schedule.
- Develop and distribute campaign and audience performance reports, translating data into actionable insights that inform marketing strategy and improve engagement, conversion, retention, and audience.
- Partner with stakeholders across Membership/Industry Relations, International, Foundation, Ticketing, Merch, Partnerships, and Events to plan and execute lifecycle marketing campaigns and audience engagement initiatives.
- Implement, maintain, and support automated and trigger-based journeys, including welcome, reminder, post-purchase, and renewal journeys. Identify opportunities to streamline campaign workflows, improve segmentation, and strengthen the effectiveness of lifecycle marketing initiatives.
- Assist with website messaging triggers and dynamic content execution to support cross-channel lifecycle experiences.
- Support lifecycle marketing initiatives focused on data capture, subscriber growth, and fan/member engagement, including Tradable Bits campaigns, email/SMS sign-ups, contests, surveys, and other engagement programs.
- Stay current on email and SMS marketing best practices, privacy requirements, deliverability considerations, and emerging technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing, lifecycle marketing, marketing operations, project management, or related discipline.
- Experience utilizing email platforms to conduct marketing campaigns (i.e. Customer.IO, Klavio, Hubspot, Salesforce, etc.).
- Strong project management skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
- Ability to translate marketing objectives into clear campaign, audience, and execution requirements.
- Comfort working with data and collaborating with technical CRM/data teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are important.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Experience
- Using creative programs (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite)
- Developing audience segments using behavioral, demographic, transactional, membership, or engagement data.
- Utilizing SMS/text marketing
- Familiar with email deliverability, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and other applicable email/SMS marketing requirements.
- Working within a membership organization, nonprofit, trade association, media company, entertainment organization, or other complex stakeholder environment.
- Creating campaign reporting and analytics
- Working knowledge of HTML and experience editing, testing, and troubleshooting email templates.
