Location: CMA Headquarters and onsite event locations (Nashville, TN)
Pay Rate: $25/hour
Schedule: Approximately 20–30 hours/week; primarily available in the CMA office Tuesday – Thursday. Schedule will vary based on event and production needs, with increased support during events.
Position Summary:
The Temporary Creative Production Assistant supports the Creative team during the very busy fall period leading up to multiple CMA events. This position coordinates creative deliverables, supports event logistics and content capture, and assists with onsite execution. The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Creative Project Coordination:
- Maintain trackers for creative deliverables, including screens, videos, graphics, signage, timelines, approvals, and outstanding action items.
- Coordinate follow-up with Creative and internal teams to keep deliverables and deadlines on track.
- Receive, organize, name, package, and distribute approved final creative assets to vendors and production partners.
- Support quality control of creative assets and screen decks, including proofreading, formatting, resolution, timing, version control, and alignment with the run of show.
- Verify final edits and updates are reflected in assets prior to execution.
Onsite Creative & Event Support:
- Assist with onsite content capture, including filming schedules, shot lists, asset organization, and talent/interview schedules.
- Support communication and coordination between the Creative team, vendors, photographers, videographers, and production partners.
- Serve as a secondary creative point of contact during setup, rehearsals, and event execution.
- Assist with creative load-in, walkthroughs, rehearsals, screen monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Support creative needs for ancillary events throughout the week, including signage, screens, and final asset coordination.
- Provide additional onsite support and other duties as assigned during event week.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working on events, productions, conferences, or creative teams.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- Excellent proofreading and quality control skills.
- Self-starter who can anticipate needs, ask questions, and work independently with minimal direction.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, vendors, and external partners.
- Comfortable shifting priorities and maintaining a positive, professional demeanor in a fast-paced event environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, and basic digital file organization. Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to assist with event load-in/load-out and stand or walk for extended periods.
