The Retail Field Auditor position is accountable for conducting audits based on company compliance metrics. Due to the scope of responsibilities, this individual must have excellent interpersonal skills, time management skills, and attention to detail. Prior audit experience or accounting background is preferred. The overall goal of this position is to ensure our Home Center Managers are operating their respective location within the company’s established policies and procedures.
Retail Field Auditor Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct full audits of Home Centers using the Audit Scorecard and associated Audit Scorecard Rules and Guidelines.
- Ensure compliance to all CMH operations policy and procedures.
- Willingness to travel extensively…generally three- four nights per week away from home.
This is a travel position based out of Columbia, SC. Applicants should be able to travel 40+ weeks out of the year (3+ days/nights during the business week) to facilities across the United States. Business travel is paid for by the company.
Retail Field Auditor Core Competencies:
- Competent in all areas of a Home Center audit.
- Strong business analyst skills, as well as ability to read and interpret everything related to a profit and loss statement and other reports.
- Possess strong working knowledge of all CMH operational systems including Link, CSS, AP, reports, allowance schedule, inventory management, payroll, and parts (bill-backs).
- Strong written business communication skills.
- Ability to focus on attention to details.
- Ability to utilize basic business management software such as excel, power point, outlook, and word as well as all CMH proprietary software.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
Prior Audit Experience is highly preferred
