Scope of Position: The Patio Door Assembler in the Patio Door area is to completely cut, punch, weld, clean, tape, set glass to fully assemble patio doors. Similar to the rest of the facility where multiple teams carry out the assembly process of making windows the Patio Door Assembler works alone and carries out all necessary steps to fully produce patio doors. Quality control paperwork will be filled out daily to ensure the highest level of productivity is achieved while maintaining quality specifications. Compliance with all safety programs is required.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Operates vinyl saws and punches to cute materials to length and punch appropriate holes for hardware assembly.

  • Operate a welding machine to bond the vinyl sashes and frames together.

  • Operate a cleaner machine to clean burs left from the weld process.

  • Coordinates the receiving and redistribution of all raw materials within the facility.

  • Tapes and sets appropriate glass into the patio door sash and frame.

  • Cross-training in production duties.

  • Completing and mastering the job with the highest level of safety and accuracy.

  • Listening and applying feedback from management to produce quality products.

  • Other tasks, as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in a production role or a manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Possess the ability and desire to cross-train into other job functions, if needed.

  • Displays positive attitude and confidence.

  • Team player with excellent communication skills.

  • Accepts and implements coaching and advice from leaders and management.

  • Must be able to accurately read a tape measurer.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to operate manual hand-held pliers.

  • Able to function in a fast-paced environment.

  • Able to push, pull, bend, and lift at least 50lbs.

  • Able to stand for long periods of time.

  • Other Physical duties, as needed.
