The Chip Runner/Brush Person is responsible for creating and maintaining lists for poker games and registering poker players for upcoming tournaments. In addition, they make fills for the Dealer’s table tray banks, as well as player chip transactions. This individual is also responsible for answering incoming poker phone calls and telemarketing to communicate upcoming events, in support of the company’s service initiatives by greeting every customer, either in person or on the phone, with an upbeat and positive attitude.


  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, team-building and problem solving skills are required.
  • Ability to type and computer experience required.
  • Ability to work with confidential data required.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Responds to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, twist, turn, grab, grip, sort and stack.
  • Must be able to maneuver from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, strong odors, dust, loud noises and bright lights.
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact with a variety of people.
  • Ability to read, speak and correspond in the English language.
  • Must thrive in a high stress fast-paced environment.
  • Must qualify for, obtain, and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission.

  • Complies with Indiana Gaming Commission Regulations, approved internal controls, as well as company policies.
  • Greets players as they enter the poker room and provides prompt and courteous service.
  • Creates and maintains sign up lists and seating for the poker room games.
  • Maintains the Games In Progress board.
  • Administers “must-move” lists for multiple games of the same limit and type.
  • Transfers players between games.
  • Calls down lists for new games.
  • Answers incoming calls.
  • Provides dealers with bank fills for the table tray banks, in accordance with all departmental and company policies and procedures.
  • Provides players with chip transaction in accordance with all departmental and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the Poker Room.
