JOB SUMMARY

Cage Cashiers provides excellent customer service to employees and vendors in all situations. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Horseshoe Indianapolis Racing & Casino policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, and Indiana Gaming Commission.

HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY

  • Under the supervision of the Cage Supervisor, the Cage Cashier is responsible for the controlling and accounting of transactions for the cage.

  • Cage Cashiers may assist with the credit function by accepting credit applications and processing the gaming and credit reports, but will not have access to credit files.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • High school diploma or GED required. Three to six (3-6) months of cash handling experience is required; or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.

  • Must be able to obtain an Indiana Gaming License.

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check

  • Must possess good interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests or team members.

  • Must possess good math skills.

  • Must possess the ability to operate computer software programs and 10-key adding machines.

  • Must be able to stand for an 8 hour shift.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Be available to work various shifts, weekends and holidays.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Also required are frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, climbing steps and sitting.

  • Horseshoe Indianapolis Racing & Casino is a smoking establishment.

  • This position has access to the sensitive keys for the cashier’s bag, cage toke box, front window stations, kiosk outside door key/ lock bar key, kiosk cassette key, kiosk cash box, and cap key.

  • Access to general gaming floor.
