Serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages along with food items as needed to guests throughout the property ensuring a positive guest experience.
High school diploma or GED is required with a minimum of one to two (1-2) years of high volume cocktail service; or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
Must possess knowledge of both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverage items.
Must obtain through training and keep current a TIPS certificate for responsible alcohol service and sales.
Must obtain and keep current an Indiana ATC (Alcohol & Tobacco Commission) Employee Permit License.
Must possess basic mathematical skills to include the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.
Must have ability to balance cash drawer at end of shift.
Must be 21 years of age or older and be able to obtain an Indiana Horse Racing License.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must possess good interpersonal skills.
Be available to work various shifts, weekends and holidays.

Frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting, reaching, climbing steps and sitting.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required for this position include good close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Horseshoe Indianapolis is a smoking establishment, therefore must be able to work in a smoking environment.
Must be able to work in a highly populated fast-paced and noisy environment.
Access to general gaming floor.
- As business levels dictate, management may also direct that a Beverage Server will be utilized to work in any of the property’s food and beverage outlets or banquet areas to perform the duties of the similar positions of F&B Server or Banquet Server.
- Beverage Servers provide excellent customer service to all patrons, employees and vendors in all situations.
- All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Horseshoe Indianapolis policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, Indiana Gaming Regulations, and ATC Regulations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned including but not limited to acting as a liaison for on and off site events and/or promotions.
