Operates industrial forklift transporting base material, production supplies and finished goods to and from truck trailers and stores in warehouse. Wraps individual rolls into specified shipping units and determines most economical and efficient means of transportation. Performs inventory functions as required.

  • Loads and unloads base material and finished goods from trailers, transporting and storing goods in warehouse or holding area.
  • Visually checks for defects in base or finished materials and writes appropriate information on side of packaging, submitting paperwork to the logistic office as required.
  • Receives order and determines product code, quantity, customer, and destination for shipment of materials. Attains information on whether to make partial shipment or postpone shipping until order can be shipped complete in case of shortages.
  • Breakdown of pallets to customer specifications.
  • Apply shipping labels to cartons and pallet boxes. Completes all appropriate paperwork including bill of lading and shipping labels.
  • Download the Third Party Warehousing (TPW) and SAP base orders, process and transfer the product to the appropriate facility.
  • Stores single rolls onto designated shelves.
  • Maintains accurate and legible production reports.
  • Performs inventory functions on Finished Goods (FG), Base and Other Materials on a weekly basis.
  • Maintains work areas and related equipment in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Stores and organizes all supplies (pallets, boxes, core plugs, etc.) on specified shelves or in designated area.
  • Maintains forklift batteries as well as charging station and changes battery in forklift as necessary.
  • Operates computer and scanner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • All employees are responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues to those that can initiate action.
  • Ability to read and comprehend shipping, receiving, and production paperwork.
  • Ability to obtain a forklift operating license
  • Satisfactory motor vehicle record
  • Satisfactory work history (including attendance and safety)
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual or part of team
  • Ability to effectively interact with diverse personalities.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, etc. as needed.
  • High school education or equivalent preferred.
