The Graduate Admissions Coordinator will recruit students for the College of Music and Performing Arts (CMPA) for graduate programs of study in the Master of Music. Belmont is a growing and innovative university with new programs announced on a consistent basis. As such, this position may expect to have new programs of study enter the portfolio going forward. The recruiter is charged with building the prospect and applicant pools for these graduate programs. Oversee recruiting and enrollment management initiatives and measure progress at regular intervals. Build prospect and applicant pools for graduate programs to enable each program to meet enrollment goals. Generate marketing tactics and materials in collaboration with University Marketing and Public Relations (UMPR). Represent graduate music programs in both on-campus and off-campus recruitment events. Schedule and lead regularly scheduled information sessions. Lead tours of CMPA facilities when prospective students visit campus. Connect students with faculty in their area of interest for ongoing conversation. Serve as back up to the undergraduate coordinator for campus visits and tours. Serve as the primary contact for prospective students, providing counsel about program requirements and the application process. Answer inquiries from prospective students with timely follow-up, developing an ongoing rapport to encourage application and enrollment. Assist prospective students in getting their applications started, submitted, and completed. Create and maintain digital files and a master list of all auditioning students. Facilitate the audition process for all students including the pre-screening process, live auditions, and video submissions. Manage the online auditions for all graduate and undergraduate students through Acceptd. Schedule and coordinate all Graduate Audition Day events including the Welcome Session, Campus Tour, rehearsals, and live auditions. Notify students of admission decisions, communicate next steps and store admission documents in the university’s system. Connect admitted students with faculty in their area to help drive enrollment. Help determine and communicate scholarship offers and graduate assistantship assignments in conjunction with CMPA faculty and staff for all admitted students. Develop and implement the enrollment strategy for the College of Music and Performing Arts. Participate with the Dean in developing new graduate programs and provide input from interactions with prospects and students on new initiatives. Assist in the development and implementation of a strategic plan of marketing and recruitment for each graduate program in collaboration with University Marketing and Public Relations (UMPR). Maintain and update strategic plans based on changes and variances. Plan and execute new student welcome events. Continuously improve the graduate recruiting and enrollment processes. Work in regular collaboration with Director of Admissions and the University’s Enrollment Services division to ensure compliance with the University’s existing inquiry and applicant data protocols, CRM system, and other applicable processes and procedures. Participate in meetings, appropriate curriculum committees, and projects as determined by the Dean of the College of Music and Performing Arts, and the Dean of Enrollment. Assist in the maintenance and continuous improvement of program websites. The above statements describe the job’s essential responsibilities and requirements.
