The Executive Director of the Belmont Collaborative for Health Systems Innovation (BCHSI) provides on-site leadership for the strategy, operations, partnerships, and financial sustainability of a rapidly growing, mission-driven health innovation collaborative. BCHSI is a multi sector innovation platform anchored within the Thomas F. Frist, Jr. College of Medicine. The Collaborative convenes health systems, industry, policymakers, and global partners to accelerate real world solutions that advance whole person care. Reporting to the HCA Health Systems Endowed Chair, the Executive Director operationalizes the Collaborative’s vision, leads fundraising and revenue development efforts, and ensures disciplined execution across programs, convenings, and partnerships. BCHSI is expanding its national and international reach while building the infrastructure required for long term impact and financial self sufficiency. The Executive Director serves as the central coordinating leader among Belmont University leadership, the University Development team, faculty, fellows, advisory board members, and external partners. This position is funded in whole or in part by a grant. Employment is subject to the continued availability of grant funding and does not imply a guarantee of employment beyond the grant period. This is an on-site position based at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Regular in-person meetings, events, and convenings are required, with periodic travel. Primary position responsibilities: Strategic Leadership Operational Execution Lead the day-to-day operations of BCHSI, executing strategies, priorities, and measurable outcomes. Develop and implement annual and multi-year operating plans, including goals, milestones, and performance metrics. Establish governance structures, workflows, and operational systems that support growth and accountability. Fundraising, Revenue Generation Financial Sustainability Lead fundraising and revenue strategy with a clear mandate to achieve financial sustainability. Partner closely with Belmont University Advancement and College of Medicine leadership to cultivate philanthropic gifts, grants, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships. Identify and develop diversified revenue streams aligned with BCHSI’s mission. Partnership Development External Relations Serve as a primary on-site representative of BCHSI to health systems, foundations, industry, policymakers, and global collaborators. Build and sustain trusted relationships that differentiate BCHSI as an execution-oriented innovation platform. Engage advisory board members and fellows in activating partnerships. Program Development, Convenings Impact Oversee the design and execution of BCHSI programs, pilots, fellowships, and convenings. Ensure initiatives move from ideation to activation, measurement, and learning. Track outcomes and impact to inform scaling and sustainability decisions. Governance, Communication Leadership Support Act as the central liaison, for the BCHSI Advisory Board. Provide regular updates and strategic updates and actionable recommendations to the HSS endowed chair, senior College of Medicine leadership, and university leadership.
