Assistant Coach Softball

Under supervision of the head coach, assists with coaching duties for the University’s NCAA Division 1 Softball program in such a manner as to build and maintain a competitive, quality program that reflects positively on the image and reputation of the University at all times. Assists head coach in organizing, preparing, and conducting individual and team practices, training, and competition. Assists the head coach in recruiting activity in accordance with NCAA rules and regulations. Oversees and coordinates one or more specified areas of a sporting discipline and/or components of a team, as appropriate to the sport being coached. Assists the head coach with various operational and administrative aspects of the program, including but not limited to: coordinating team travel; assisting with institutional camps; coordinating and managing team equipment; and other duties as assigned by the head coach. Represents the sports program to various institutional entities and externally to media, government agencies, students, parents, and the general public. Complies with all NCAA, Conference, University, and Department of Athletics policies. The above statements describe the job's essential responsibilities and requirements.
