University Ministries - Student Worship Coordinator Intern

Overview: This role is a high-level student leadership position that works closely with the Director of University Worship and provides high-touch, high-responsibility coordination to the execution of worship events. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Morning Worship / day-of responsibilities: 10 hours weekly ; 7:15 a-11a Wed/Fri (plus relevant office time)Attend and support chapel Manage/Oversee closet/sacristy Ensure chapel participants are present, equipped, and prepared (including A/V) Coordinate communication between A/V staff and speakers and musicians Manage and print orders of service from Planning Center, liturgical materials (readings, prayers), and print/post QR codes Set out parking space reservation cones for outside guest speakers Ensure the Gabhart chapel is clean and ready for worship Support the Director with coordinating with OSVES on chapel needs (staging, additional A/V, etc) and issues resulting from other users of the space Set out tables for Church Partner guests in the Gabhart Chapel Lobby Manage Speaker Hospitality at the service (water bottles, gifts, other needs). Lead midday prayer setup (chairs, musicians, cross, sound) and materials (books, cart, printouts). Planning and preparation: (2-3 hours weekly) Attend weekly planning meeting Meet with student worship leaders and worship director as needed Support University-wide worship services event logistics Solicit information from chapel speakers and guest participants (readers, prayers, etc) and communicate relevant logistics to worship leaders Manage online/website chapel schedule, Suitable events, and QR codes Help coordinate special worship events as requested (FA/SP retreats, Welcome Week Worship, Spring Break Missions training commissioning, etc). Occasionally requires standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying and climbing, reaching both high and low. Frequently requires walking and balancing. Constantly requires sitting, repetitious finger and wrist movement, speaking clearly, hearing conversations, hearing (with acuity), seeing near and far with depth perception and color vision.
