Under general supervision, assists in coaching duties for the University’s NCAA Division 1 Women’s Cross Country and Track Field programs. Assists the Director of Cross Country/Track Field with all aspects of the program, including recruitment of athletes, training for competition, and multiple administrative duties to support overall program management. Assists Director of Track Field/Cross Country in organizing, preparing, and conducting individual and team practices, training, and competition. Conducts recruitment of student-athletes in accordance with NCAA rules through scouting, attending athletic events/meets, and home visits. Oversees and coordinates one or more specified areas of a sporting discipline and/or components of a team, as appropriate to the sport being coached. Assists in the overall coordination of the program, including but not limited to: planning official/unofficial visits; coordinating team travel; managing team apparel orders; overseeing social media outlets; organizing special team events; coordinating team communication regarding practices, meetings, special events, etc. Represents the sports program to various institutional entities and externally to media, government agencies, students, parents, and the general public. Complies with all NCAA, Conference, University, and Department of Athletics policies. The above statements describe the job's essential responsibilities and requirements.
