As a Shop Assistant, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for every museum visitor. Shop Assistants provide exceptional customer service, engage with guests, and help ensure each visitor enjoys their time at Belmont Mansion. Responsibilities include: Greeting and assisting museum visitors in a warm, engaging, and professional manner. Taking initiative to anticipate visitors’ needs and provide personalized, above-and-beyond service. Processing sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system. Maintaining an attractive, organized, and well-stocked museum shop. Pricing merchandise and restocking inventory as needed. Answering phone calls and responding to visitor inquiries. Assisting the Shop Manager with other tasks as needed. The Belmont Mansion Museum Shop is located inside the historic house museum on campus. Shifts typically range from 2-6 hours, depending upon availability and museum needs.
