Arconic is currently in search of a Project Manager to join our Central Services Department based in Alcoa, TN.

Tennessee Operations is located 3 hours North of Atlanta, GA; 2.5 hours East of Nashville, TN; and 4 hours West of Charlotte, NC. Arconic’s Tennessee Operations is one of the most modern aluminum fabricating facilities in the world. Our plants produce high-quality molten metal and aluminum sheet and are recognized as a world leader in the business. The facility has been located at the Foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains for 100 years and continues to thrive and grow.
The successful candidate will lead capital engineering projects, support production areas, and mentor engineers as needed.

You have: (required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from an accredited college/university.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing capital projects.

  • Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Exceptional Candidates also have: (preferred)

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience and working knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles, equipment and components to include, facilities and industrial infrastructure, cranes, electrical power systems, control systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, etc.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project leadership and engineering, equipment specification, project scope development, estimating and project financial controls.


In this role, you will:

  • Assist with managing aspects of the Tennessee Operations capital budget and providing engineering support for various projects across the plant site.

  • Provide technical solutions to recurring design, process and application problems.

  • Assist with accountability for planning and managing the site capital priorities, project portfolio, evaluating risk, and capital spending forecasts.

  • Develop, manage, and implement capital projects.

  • Mentor engineers across departments.

  • Support production areas on an as-needed basis.

  • All other tasks and duties as assigned.

  • This position reports to the Engineering Superintendent for Central Services.
  • Up to 25% travel requirement
