Tennessee Operations is located 3 hours North of Atlanta, GA; 2.5 hours East of Nashville, TN; and 4 hours West of Charlotte, NC. Arconic’s Tennessee Operations is one of the most modern aluminum fabricating facilities in the world. Our plants produce high-quality molten metal and aluminum sheet and are recognized as a world leader in the business. The objective of the Reliability Improvement Specialist is to actively participate and lead efforts to increase equipment and asset health, performance and cost, utilizing Reliability Excellence tools and competencies. The role involves training, coaching and supporting the Maintenance, Engineering and Operations employees in adopting the best practices in Reliability, and to take a hands-on approach in making improvements in equipment health and stability.

You have: (required)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Mechanical/Electrical trade OR a minimum of 5 years in a Reliability role in an Industrial environment.

Exceptional Candidates also have:

  • Reliability Engineering degree combined with 5 years or more experience in a heavy industry.

In this role, you will:

  • Proactively follow and set an example in complying with EHS rules, regulations, and practices. Identify hazards, report and participate in actions to mitigate
  • Interfacing with Maintenance staff, crew, planners and floor leaders to ensure common practices are utilized and established plant wide.
  • Use KPI’s to drive change in behaviors, and to identify, define and breakdown the problems in equipment performance.
  • Use existing data, field survey’s, communication with shop floor employees, workshops and other Deep-dive techniques to Lead and Kaizen to improve equipment performance.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in and utilize your track record to lead and conduct criticality assessments, PM optimization, Outage planning, Root Cause Analysis, Predictive Maintenance tools and techniques such as Vibration Analysis, Lubrication Analysis, etc.
  • Coach Maintenance Work Planners and Supervisors in correct and efficient use of planning standards and CMMS.
  • All other tasks and duties as assigned.
