The successful candidate will have a strong maintenance background with verifiable, hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience within an industrial environment. Candidates with supervisory experience, hydraulics, and PLC troubleshooting knowledge are strongly desired. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a motivation to learn all mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, and manufacturing aspects of plant operations.

Tennessee Operations is located 3 hours North of Atlanta, GA; 2.5 hours East of Nashville, TN; and 4 hours West of Charlotte, NC. Arconic’s Tennessee Operations is one of the most modern aluminum fabricating facilities in the world. Our plants produce high-quality molten metal and aluminum sheet and are recognized as a world leader in the business. - High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Must be a current contractor at the Alcoa, TN location in a Maintenance Supervisor capacity.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Associates or BS degree in a technical field
- Previous work experience in a similar role
- 5+ years heavy industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
- Knowledge of PLCs and hydraulic systems
- Supervisory experience in a Union environment
- Supervisory experience with Production employees
- Strong customer focus and collaboration skills, displays initiative, out-of-box thinking and strong attention to detail
- Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Supervising electrical craft, mechanical craft and production employees within the department, acting as a resource for maintenance guidance to craft and other manufacturing personnel.
- Providing technical maintenance support for assigned area.
- Executing planned and unplanned work to meet department goals.
- Coordinate repairs with customers to ensure minimal equipment downtime.
- Following up on equipment issues and developing technical problem-solving solutions.
- Providing on-call response to remedy critical maintenance situations.
- Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives of manufacturing methods, working hand in hand with craft employees.
- Leading LTV processes and procedures.
- Adhering to Arconic EH&S, quality, continuous improvement, and other company policies.
- Use of Microsoft and Oracle products is required for this role.
- All other tasks and duties as assigned.
